Maureen Mitchell

I have been a member of the KC Express Network Chapter of ABWA for about 21/2 years.  I relocated to Kansas City from Des Moines, Iowa and was looking for a way to meet like minded, business minded, outgoing women and through all of my searching, ABWA seemed to be the best fit.  The ABWA community has taken me in and made me a Protege and I will have a position on the board next year as VP Communications.  I look forward to that new challenge and to continue to meet great women.

I have been married to my fabulous husband John for 23 years and we have a rescue dog named Brutus (11lbs of terror)!  We love to travel and explore new places and cultures, we are self proclaimed foodies and have done an excellent job of eating our way through Kansas City over the past couple of years.  We love the outdoors and hiking and gardening.  I volunteer through Hospice organizations visitng with patients and helping their caretakers take a break.  I am a Realtor by trade and love to help people buy and sell homes--yes, even in crazy markets like this.  My philosophy is that buying or selling the MOST EXPENSIVE THING YOU OWN is very emotional and stressful and I am the solid non-emotional support you need during this very important transaction.  I stay grounded and focused on the end prize so we can get to the closing table withoiut any surprises.
