A native South Carolinian who was married 51 years to William Capers Sr. has 3 sons and 7 grandchildren.  

Lives in a historic town of Maryland

Graduated from Prince Georges Community College and The University of Maryland University College.

Retired from the Treasury Department, Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Co-owner Capers Enterprises

President/CEO  Fairmount Heights Community Development Corporation, Inc.

Co-Founder of BERC (Bureau Engraving Retirement Club). 

Worked with the University of Maryland Literacy Council to create M.A.P.  to get health care for the underserved population in the 20743 zip code.

Served as President of the Fairmount Heights Civic Association and used that format to bring clothing,school supplies and activities for the children in the community..

Serve on the Green Team for the Town of Fairmount Heights with a goal to place 5 benches in an area that is being made a park.  These benches will have inscribed on them some of the names of the people who helped to create the wonderful history of this town.
