Lisa Beedon

Lisa Beedon is the 2015-2016 National President of ABWA and former Trustee of the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund. Previously, Lisa served on the national board of directors as National Secretary Treasurer and District V Vice President. At the local level, Lisa served as the Communications Chair, Vice Chair and two terms as Council Chair for the Eastern Michigan Council which oversees southeast Michigan and as President and Vice President for ViVon Chapter, a chapter located in Port Huron. She was the 2007 Maia Chapter Woman of the Year, 2010 Eastern Michigan Council Woman of the Year, and 2015 ViVon Chapter Woman of the Year.

Professionally, Lisa is the Communications and Marketing Manager at Lake Huron Medical Center where she utilizes both modern and traditional marketing strategies to optimize the communication of a consistent message. Prior to joining Lake Huron Medical Center, Lisa was Membership Sales and Marketing Manager for the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce. Lisa has over a decade of experience in marketing.

Lisa received her Master's degree in Organizational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University - Ann Arbor in 2012 and is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts with a double minor in Marketing and Advertising.
