Laura Gaida

Laura grew up with 4 sisters, sharing most Sunday meals with family and friends.  Began cleaning/organizing offices with her Dad at age 12.   She was brought up believing:  you give 100% effort - EVERY TIME - with honesty, integrity, and a little bit of humor.  Throughout Laura's career, she has gravitated to Executive Administration - concentrating in the areas of: organization, process, problem solving, foresight, and networking.   She's that person who makes everything look easy and can help almost anyone shine.  Including volunteer and paid - Laura has held well over 35 positions throughout her career,  including:  teaching religion, Cub Scout Leader, Assistant to the President of Four Winds Boating Company,  Property/Office Manager at a law firm, PTO  Volunteer Coordinater then President, Sales Manager, Director of Operations for Learning Gizmos, currently a Loan Officer for Compass Mortgage in Lakeland, FL, Loving Wife and Mother of 4 - all jobs she loved and excelled in (most times).  Laura enjoys hosting gatherings in her home, cooking with friends & family, golfing with her husband and working on DIY projects.

 By taking advantage of the training, networking, and mentorship opportunities through ABWA, Laura has expanded her knowledge in Outlook, Quick Books, Snagit, Vertical Response, Facebook, and LinkedIn; collaborated with many professionals in Central Florida, and educated herself and others in the subjects of: Negotiation, Concise Communication, Organization, Leadership; Received the Protégé Award her first year in ABWA, Chair of Professional Development, Secretary, Vice President and currently President.
