Casey Coven

Casey started her career as a public school teacher in Hampton, VA.  She left teaching to earn a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration at Southern Illinois University.  

Casey's next career was in retail, where she started as a temporary Christmas employee, and ended as a District Jewelry Manager supervising 17 locations with annual sales of over $35 Million. 

Along the way, she worked for five different companies managing stores with sales of $750,000 to 11 Million. 

Mortgage Banking was the next career stop.  Casey started as a loan officer. Three months later, she was managing a branch office.

The company promoted Casey to Vice President of Branch Operations two months later. 

She left that company and opened a Mortgage Banking Company with her sister and brother-in-law. 

Casey was a business owner for four years before leaving the company.

Retail liquidation was the next move.   Casey worked in both the financial end of the business and at the store level. 

She travel to Corporate Headquarters of companies closing stores or to the stores themselves. 

Casey with her sister Claire purchase a Cruise Planners Franchise in 2013.  The Business is Cruise Planners - 411 to Travel. 

They are sponsors of the Sister Sail Away Cruise in January, for ABWA members, friends and family and donate part of the proceeds to SBMEF.

Her outside activities include membership in the MD Capital Chapter of ABWA. Casey served as the National President for 2009-10.  Casey served as the Chair of the Ambassador's Steering Committee from 2010 - 2013. 

In 2012 she was selected as a 2013 Top Ten Business Woman of ABWA. 

Casey currently serves as the Chapter Advisor of MD Capital Chapter and W2W Formation.
